T-Mobile Galaxy S5 Receives Minor Bug Fix OTA Software Update (G900TUVU1ANE5)

Are you Galaxy s5 users by T-Mobile ? If yes then we have come with a grate news for you that your carrier has just announced a minor udate for your device. The update has only one thing going for it – it fixes an issue which would cause incoming SMS and MMS to fail. The version number is G900TUVU1ANE5.
The update is 131MB large and is available as an OTA or via Samsung Kies.

How To Update Automatically Over-The-Air (OTA)

This software update will be pushed to your phone between May 22 and June 10. Your phone will notify you when it is ready to update. If your phone has not received an OTA message, see Software update: Download here.

After receiving the OTA notification, follow these steps:

  • Drag down the Notification bar and tap on the T-Mobile update service message.
  • Tap Start.
  • A restart message will appear, tap OK.

  • From the home screen, tap Settings
  • Tab the General tab.
  • Tap About device.
  • Tap Software update.
  • Tap OK.
  • Tap Start.

Installing Kies

  1. Download the most recent version of Kies by visiting http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/ (Select the SAMSUNG Kies version compatible with the PC)
  2. Double click the Kies file. The program will self extract, no action is required
  3. Select the desired Language and Location, then click Next.
  4. Read the license agreement, check the box for “I accept…” and click Next.
  5. Kies will begin the installation. No action is required.
  6. When the process is complete, click Finish.

Prepare the Samsung Galaxy S 5

  1. From the home screen, tap Settings
  2. Tab the General tab.
  3. Tap Developer options, if available. If not available, skip to step 8.
  4. Tap Ok
  5. Tap USB Debugging
  6. Tap the Home key to exit the settings menu.
  7. Insert the USB data cable into the phone and then into an available port on the computer.
  8. Select Media device(MTP) at the phone prompt. The PC should recognize several devices and begin installation. This is normal and may take a few minutes. Unplug the data cable when completed.
