June security update lands for the Verizon Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+

Verizon has begun pushing out a new update to its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ handsets in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any major new features packed in here, but the updates do include the latest Android security patches from Google.

Software version MMB29K.N920VVZW2BPF2 and MMB29K.G928VVZW2BPF2 is now being rolled out by Verizon for the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+ respectively. The changelog is quite simple: “The current software update gives you the most up to date Android™ security patch on your device.” Samsung has already detailed its June security patch which includes the latest security improvements from Google as well as nine Samsung-specific bug fixes.
