A new initiative by Apple: Apple has started selling SIM-free, unlocked models of Apple iPhone 6 and 6Plus

A good news for the Apple iPhone 6 and 6 plus lovers, Apple has now initiated to sell contract-free Apple iPhone 6 and 6 plus to the U.S.A. customers. The phone has currently been shipped with the T-mobile SIM card in them. These carrier free Apple iPhone are made available to the customers at almost the similar price of $649 as that of the 16 GB Apple iPhone 6 while the price of Apple iPhone 6 Plus is set to $749 for the 16 GB. These prices will go up with the 64 GB and 128 GB phones.

The models for the new unlocked Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus has been distinguished as A1586 and A1524, respectively. These models have been made compatible with almost all carriers across the globe. The U.S. customers can activate it using the AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-mobile.

But if we technically speak, the purchase of the un-locked Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, still cannot be done in U.S. through the official channels.

These unlocked phones possesses the similar features as that of the iPhone. The only difference which they have is that, these phones do not come with the contract committed wireless or carrier plan. These phones give an ease of using them on any of the supported carriers of your choice, while you are travelling anywhere in the world.

Generally, the unlocked versions of the phone take few months to come out after the launch, so the timings of unlocked Apple iPhone is not surprising.
