The BlackBerry Q10 smartphone available in June on Verizon Wireless

Just a day after T-Mobile released its BlackBerry Q10 version, it’s time for Verizon to make the same. The Big Red has revealed today that it’ll be offering the latest BlackBerry QWERTY offering starting June 6 for $199.99 with a new two year-customer agreement.

This development will no doubt come as welcome news for the BlackBerry faithful. Many in this camp are zealously addicted to typing on real keys and poo-poo messaging via touch screen.

Q10 users will have access to BlackBerry World to download apps, games and entertainment over 4G LTE connectivity. BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) fans can also use 4G LTE to video chat with friends. BBM on the new platform includes a screen sharing feature so friends can share picture slideshows and co-workers can review documents together.

Along with BlackBerry’s spanking new BB 10.1 OS, the Q10 comes with a physical landscape 4-row QWERTY keyboard, a square 3.1″ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels and 328 ppi density. There’s also an 8 MP snapper, a dual-core Cortex-A9 chip clocked at 1.5 GHz and all-you-can-eat connectivity set with LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, etc. on board.
