The Android 6.0 Marshmallow soak test for the third-generation Moto X Pure Edition has begun in the United States. The news was announced by Motorola’s senior director of software product management David Schuster on Google+.
If everything goes according to Motorola’s plan, a full launch will follow shortly. In theory, this should mean that the Moto X Pure Edition will start receiving its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in a matter of weeks.
This Android 6.0 Marshmallow is, in fact, the subject of Motorola’s latest soak test for the Moto X PE, hitting devices as software version 24.11.18.en.US and providing no major bugs are found, we could see the update rolling out in the next few weeks. We’ll be on the lookout.
