Verizon Is Finally Ready To Deliver The Droid Turbo 2’s Marshmallow Update

Motorola’s head of software project management David Schuster has now confirmed that the firmware is in ‘full deployment’, so those still waiting for Android 6.0 Marshmallow should finally see an OTA notification very soon.

Doze, the software feature that manages the battery’s power sipping when a device is idle, is present, as well as App Standby, which combined should give the device quite a noticeable boost in battery life.

App permissions are obviously onboard, and so are App links, which allow you to better manage whether links should fire up a specific app or rather simply open in the browser.

You will also find Google Now on Tap, the revamped Do Not Disturb mode and the presence of the new expandable storage management in order to integrate SD cards with the internal storage.
