If you own a Verizon Galaxy Core Prime phone and you’re connected to the Verizon carrier, then you should know that the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is already available for your device. We also remind you that this update was already available for the T-Mobile and AT&T carriers.
But US-based carrier Verizon Wireless is not one of them since the Big Red has just announced an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade is now available for Samsung Galaxy Core Prime.
Note that the update will only be pushed for Galaxy Core Prime Verizon models running 100% stock Android firmware, which means that you won’t be getting any new updates in case you’ve installed any custom ROM on your device.
Along with all the enhancement that Android 5.1.1 brings to the device, Samsung has also added a fix for the security related Stagefright bug that was in the news recently.
